I started a thread here:
But that was before I realized this:
You can't upgrade if you have XP Home and a N-series notebook!!!!
Is this correct? Or am I the only one with this problem? I haven't seen any posts about it here, surprisingly...
Please help me, I don't know what to do!

As long as you have the Vista Cd you should be able to upgrade -
-
Come on, I can't be the only one who's having this problem...
Are there no Nx6310, Nc8430, or Nx9420 (for instance) owners out there with XP Home who wants to upgrade? -
At this point would suggest contacting HP/Moduslink directly and ask them why Win XP is not an option for the upgrade on the N series. The last date to order these upgrades is March 31st, so you might want to ask them right now instead of waiting.

Thanks miner. Yeah I was also thinking about the last date to place the order, which is only a few weeks away. I actually sent a mail to HP support last night, and I'm waiting for the answer. I even called HP a couple of weeks ago, asking the same question, but they had no idea what I was talking about.... I'll keep you updated about what they have to say.
I just thought that I should check this forum if anyone knew the reason for this, and also to make people aware of the situation. But I'm still surprised that no one else have encountered this problem.
XP Home & Vista Express Upgrade with the HP compaq N-series, HOW!???
