Hi,
I got my Pavilion dv6500t Laptop with Vista Home Basic. I am trying to install XP. But the problem is, I am not able to see any partitions after booting from XP CD. It is saying there is no active partitions available. Can any one advice me how can i go ahead to install XP into my Laptop.

You need to go into BIOS and disable Sata mode for the laptop. XP install CDs don't see the drive because it doesn't hava Sata drivers.
