XP exiting folders automatically after installed on preinstalled HP DV2601TU laptop

Hi friends,
I am using dv2000 series HP laptop and model is DV2601TU.
I followed the series of steps posted in this site for to slipstream the xp with sp2 and sata drivers.
i successsfully installed the XP on my pre installed VISTA laptop and i am able to boot XP without problems.
But here i am getting one strange problem:
if i am trying to install vistabootpro.exe, the window is opening and it is exiting immediately and before running this .exe i tried to install .NET Framework 2.0 which is also exiting immediately before i am trying to take the control for to click the next button on installation window.

not only these two, every folder which i opned automatically exiting after 5 seconds.(ex:cmd,d:\windows\system32 folders etc....)
can anybody help what might be the problem.i am really frustrating with this problem.

and one more doubt is for to install Vistabootpro.exe do we need internet connect for my laptop? why i am asking because while installing the .exe which i have with me in USB it is opening one window and trying to connect internet?

can i install Vistabootpro.exe on newly installed XP?

i am suspecting that my XP installed properly or not? what is the wrong i did?

while slipstreaming the drivers i followed the following steps:

1)i went to intel site downloaded the following .exe file
RAID/AHCI Software - Intel® Matrix Storage Manager( iata78_enu.exe )
and i extracted the exe and found the driver folder and i copied the contents of CD(which contains XP with SP2) to my harddrive.

and i used nlite for to integrate the drivers. once completed i rebooted and installed the xp professional.
while integraing the drivers i choosed the - Intel(R) 82801HEM SATA AHCI Controller (Mobile ICH8M-E) SATA driver.

once came into windows xp os, if i opened any folders or taskmanager or command prompt , those are exiting after 5 seconds automatically.

Can't speak to your other problems, but VBP should work fine under XP. I'd redo the slipstream. As for the attempted internet connection, it's probably just calling home to ma to see if there is a newer version. Should and does work fine if there isn't a line open.

Even after reslipstreamed and reinstalled xp on my laptop the folders which are opened closing automatically.

i have nortan antivirus .exe, even if try to install this installation window opening and exiting , i am not able to install even antivirus also.

this may sound weird but is anything pressing alt+F4 on your keyboard?
