I'm looking at getting the dv9700t, but I don't want Vista, I would like to install XP on my laptop as soon as I get it. Will it work on this model (or even the 'z' one, alternatively), or am I going to have to keep looking?

Ah. I missed the sticky post at the top earlier, but now that I have skimmed through there, it looks like no one has tested it yet on either the 9700t or 9700z?

It looks like it may be easier or more likely to succeed on the AMD one though?

Sorry, I'm very inexperienced with laptops, so I'm a bit clueless and still learning. I really don't want Vista, but I also don't want to drop over $1000 for a laptop and then be stuck with OS problems if it doesn't work, or I mess it up really badly.
