Hi...Can you help me between these two...no CTO in UAE....

    HP DV 2750EE, T7500, 160GB 5400rpm, WXGA LCD, 2GB 667mhz ram, 128MB 8400GS with sharing of upto sum 800 mb from ram, 1yr warranty. Price around US$ 1100 + $160 for 2 year warranty extension

    HP DV 2775EE, Penryn 9300, 250GB 5400rpm, WXGA LCD, 4GB 667mhz ram, 128MB 8400GS with sharing of upto sum 1100 mb from ram, 2yr warranty. Price around US$ 1400.

For $140 extra, the 2nd option seems good. But wat about battery life?

Also I need to install XP Professional. Wats with the driver issue. I saw a SATA driver download on HP drivers page. will it work??

Also will the 256MB 8400GS cause performance difference. Wont the memory sharing in 2700 help?

Wat would be the performance and battery life difference between similarly configured Vostro 1400 or Inspiron 1420.

    thank you

The drivers on HP's page won't help if you're installing XP by booting from the CD. What you need is to slipstream the drivers into the XP installation disc.
