I downloaded a virus and had to do a fresh XP install on my laptop. Now it shuts down restarts on its own every ten minutes or so. I had this problem before and found a way to fix it. My memory isn't so good anymore. I can't find the thread on this. Help! Man, I am trying to remember, but I just can't. Thanks.

If your memory isn't so good anymore, are you sure you had this problem before? Are you sure you found a way to fix it? Are you sure you did fix it?
All kidding aside, you might want to find out why it is happening. This might help.
It does not read as if the virus is truly gone ... -
It happened before right after I installed XP. Now I remember some of it. There is brief display of the blue screen of death before it restarts. When I had this problem, someone suggested turning on or off some feature that shows this screen. Now I don't remember what that is. Any idea? Thanks.

A BSOD generally means something is wrong. You might peruse the Event Viewer logs to find out why this is happening.
