    Hi all
My son has recently purchased a 360 wireless controller for his Xbox.
We have good signal strength from our wireless router, and we know the adaptor is in good working order, we just can't connect the two.
    Is there anything we're missing?
Please help an 11 year old boy very happy.
    Thanks very much

you have to press the small button on the front of the 360. Its the one next to the Memory slots.

Then press the small button on the controller, that is on the side of the triggers (back i guess). Then it will connect. ;)

If your talking about the wireless adapter for the xbox (around £60 ish), to set this up you need to go onto the xbox and under network settings configure it there, do a search and enter the password (should be on the bottom of the router.

If you are talking about the wireless controllers for the xbox (the thing that goes in your hand to play), to connect this to the xbox, press the little button on the back of the controller, by the special connector and then press the button on the xbox next to memory card B.

Title of Thread: Xbox 360 wireless controller connection

    He means the controller. ;)

@ OP: The router actually has nothing to do with the controller.

    Hi.
I'm back needing more help with this Xbox wireless adaptor.
OK, the hand controller is set up fine, the wireless adaptor (fits in the back of the box for Xbox live play) is working as he's tried it at a friend's house, good signal strength from my wireless router, but still can't connect to Xbox Live.
I've been into system settings (which is picking up my router with good signal strength) and even entered the security key manually, along with the DNS etc. etc........... Still doesn't want to play.
I work full time, have two kids and if this thing takes up any more of my time, i fear for it's safety!!
    Yours hopefully........... D

Try disconnecting it completely. Then Restart the COnsole. Connect it back into the USB Port. Them connect to the network. Make sure there is an IP Adress Listed. If so, Then try to connect to the Internet or Live, it should ask you to Test Connection. Do that, and Test COnnection to Xbox LIVE. See it it gets stuck somehwere. If it does, please say where. And if it works, then try connecting again to LIVE. It should then work.
