Whenever I watch a youtube video in Full Screen, the video freezes, but the sound keeps playing normal. What can I do to fix it? It's so irritating.

Reinstall your browser / flash. Which browser are you using?

same problem here. I never notice this problem on other laptops. WHat I do is right click on the video than click on stop download, it will reset the download and will load from 0. Then it will work smoothly.

Anoter youtube problem is very annoying. Each time that I want to view a video with full screen, the video reset the load too. How could we set up this?

ive had this problem ocassionally. you have to click on a part of the video that has not been downloaded and then just click back to your "desired/beginning" part.. so if you open the video its only sound. click on like 1:05. and then click back on 0:01. let me know if it works. works for my envy. again i only get this problem ocassionaly.

If I right click when Full screen, and "Stop Download" and play again, it will restart and will play normal. I just find this irritating because I watch a lot of youtube vids. I'm looking for a fixed solution. It wasn't doing this before..

If i disable hardware acceleration in flash player everything works fine but it looks like poop. If i switch to the ati gpu i seem to not have the problem. So i'm assuming it's a combination of flash for internet explorer and the intel hd graphics. Firefox handles everything just fine though.

I had a problem with Youtube video freezing (but audio still playing) when I changed the video resolution. I have Youtube setup to play in HD when I click full screen so it would freeze in full screen for me too.

It seems to be an issue with Youtube and Intel HD Graphics. If you right click on the desktop, click Graphics Properties, click Media, click Image Enhancement, and uncheck Override Application Settings, the issue should disappear.

This is what you want to get to. Uncheck Override Application Settings.

Hi, thank you so much, I've been having the same problem and found this discussion through a search. Tried it, and synner's advice works!!! The other suggestion (right click and stop download) also worked, but it's far better this way!

I'm just wondering what effect if any it has on the video quality (disabling image enhancement)?

Another note: I didn't have this problem at all when using IE, only in FF.

    Thanks again!
    Iris

Im using Windows 7, I updated the driver some time ago, do you think that would cause it to be different?

I'm not an expert, but on second thought, you are using AMD processor, in the other image it's intel, maybe that's the reason. Or the different driver. But you should have similar options, it probably works the same way, if the problems are similar. Try to change things, maybe go under 'video' category, this seems to me similar to 'media', see if you have an option similar to 'image enhancement', maybe under a different title/name.

Did I just download and install the wrong driver update?
Do you know a site I can go to download the right driver update for the Envy 14?

switch your graphics to the integrated...then you'll get the Intel INTEGRATED graphics panel.
