My g/f has a z2000 ml34 that cuts off when on a cloth surface such as a bed. Its got the 12 cell battery that raises it up a bit but prob makes no dif on cloth. I didnt think it would make a dif since its a mobile processor. If you let a p4 sit on a bed with fans on bottom its one thing, but the turion here seems to be running too hot and is just acting "gimp" as my girlfriend calls it, lol. We have a compusa service plan on it i dunno what help that is? any help?

If you put ANY notebook on a soft surface like that you'll block the air intakes and overheat it. Don't do that. Find a tray or something you can sit the notebook on and put that on the bed.
