Hey all. I just picked up a refurbished first gen ZBook 17. I’m looking to upgrade the HD+ matte display to a FHD glossy. I’ve been able to find the FHD matte screen on a few different websites, but everyone seems to be sold out of the glossy display. The HP part number I’ve been cross referencing is 735367-001 which is for a matte finish. Unfortunately, HP doesn’t give a part number for a glossy display, so I’ve literally been running in circles trying to source an alternate option that will work in this scenario. So far I’ve scoured Google, Amazon, EBay, Newegg, Laptopscreens.com, screencountry.com without any success. As mentioned, the few glossy that I have found are “out of stock.” Can anyone help me out here? It’s a 40 pin edp connecter, non touch screen.

    Thanks!

what's exactly your actual screen? check it with hwinfo or aida64 extreme. there is a dedicated thread for laptop Screen Upgrades in my signature.

Thanks! I just downloaded and installed hwinfo and I'm about to read your thread now. The screen is a "Chi Mei CMN1731."

Turns out the above mentioned number is simply just a plug and play code, so I went ahead and took the screen out of the laptop and found the actual model number. Upon searching for compatible models on panelook.com, I noticed that they are all HD+ 1600x900, not FHD. I'm a noob to all of this and trying to understand what my options are but I'm still kind of stumped even after reading your thread on display upgrades. Below is a link to the screen I currently have. Any insight on what I should look for is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
