This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Hi All,
    I was just wondering, there is a rumor that with the ZD8000 & X6000 models the hard drive & the Optical drive (dvd,dvd-rw,cd-rw)share the same IDE controller thus resulting in very poor performance when using both devices at the same time...Is there any truth to this rumor ???

    Can any ZD8000 or X6000 owners confirm this ???

    any information or links to other posts discussing this matter would be graetly appreciated !!!!!
