Well,
My laptop finally quit. I've had it since Jun '05.
It got to a point where it wouldn't load. I'd turn it on, it would give two beeps and shut down. It would just repeat the process. I read up on laptop beep codes, and it said to test the RAM. If RAM tested out good, then the system board was probably bad.
Does anyone know where I could find a replacement for this model?

For memory try:-

For the mboard, I think you'll have to ask HP for that one. -
sucks... good luck finding a mboard
-
I've found one for $350. I bought a Dell 1501 to keep me sane until I'm able to fix it. I love the ZD too much to let it go. -
I already had replacement RAM.
I was just hoping someone knew of somewhere other than HP to get the system board at a reasonable price. -
Update...
I installed the new system board yesterday, and my baby purrs once again.
-
How much did the board set ya back?
