ZD8000's Dual TV Tuner

First let me say that this is all based on my experience and my opinion, please do not flame me, this is my way of warning what "could happen".

The Dual TV Tuner was one of the final factors in getting the ZD8080 over the Dell XPS, price was the other. I thought I would be able to play XBOX through my tuner without any other atachments. This is not the case, there is a 5-10 second delay between whatever is plugged into the tuner and when it reaches your moniter. I believe this has to do with analot to digital conversion, but can find nothing that even suggests that this should or does happen, maybe it's normal, or maybe mines messed up, i doubt the latter.

Next my tuner has been really buggy. Sometimes it asks for the IR cable to be plugged in, sometimes it does not. I have not found any recording software for the tuner either. You have media center, which in my opinion is a cool idea, but it sucks right now. The only record live tv option you have to set up a time to record and a time to stop. I want to be able to hit record and it records. The Muvee software that came with my computer will only work with a DV recorder, or another capture device, not the tuner.

Now maybe this is drivers, maybe this is coincidence, but I think that it's just so new there is no editing software compatable with it. The software sees it, but when I select it it tells me it is use every time. I've turned off all other programs, it has to be embeded in the OS thats the last thing I can figure. What ever it is I hope these views help others to make there deciscion, or someone to come up with a way to fix them. I'm not trying to steer people away from it, I'm just trying to let others see that they might not be getting the full package they think they are. Hope this helps someone
