Hi.
I wonder if anyone else had been experiencing this:
ZT3000. Wireless connection is good when power is plugged into the wall, but performance (wait time on web, connect time to WLANs, time to discover WLANs, etc.) is drastically reduced when on battery power alone.
I know the first response is to go to the wireless adapter's configuration settings and set power management mode to full power. I have already done this, but the performance still seems to suffer markedly during battery-only, but is fine when plugged in. Any ideas?
Thanks,
-WW

IIRC, the solution is to upgrade your wireless router to its newest firmware revision. Something about working around a compatibility issue caused by the Intel wireless chip in your Centrino notebook.

Yes, that's the problem the new firmware fixes. Don't try to figure it out, just get the upgrade.

Are you noticing any other delays when only on battery power or is it only internet-based?? I have the zt3000 series model and I've not had any issues with A/C or battery power perfomances. Be sure to check for drivers/updates/upgrades at HP.com so that you're sure to have your laptop running at it's best.
