Hey guys I know this is an old laptop but my wife wants to keep it. Problem is the NIC is dead. Its a mini pci card and I am not sure where to find one to replace it or if it can be upgraded from a G card. If anyone knows please let me know.

NIc is not an issue... You can buy PCMCIA compatible ones or USB compatible NICs too. They are really cheap..

You mean the wireless network card? If so you can only use the exact same ones that came with the laptop the B/g and the b/g speed boster one. HP locks out all non HP wireless cards so only HP approved ones can work. You should try ebay i guarantee you 100% you will fine one. Just ebay " Zv6000 wireless card "
