Went to plug in my ZV5380 power supply today and it was dead. No green light, no charge light on the laptop, and no voltage output from the brick. I checked the wall power cord and it was getting voltage. Called HP and they are sending me a power supply this week. Had my first experience with overseas tech support too, and it was less than stellar. If they get me my new power supply in a reasonable amount of time though, I guess I'll be happy.

Has any body else experienced an A/C power supply issue/failure?

Does not sound like a power cord fault.More of a laptop fault.Better send it back before the 30 day return period is over.

I took my laptop out to the car today and hooked it up with my Targus DC power supply and it works like a champ. So it is defiantly the A/C power supply.

I've had that problem with ZV5000z's PSU and fixed it myself in 3 minutes. Need to solder. Was posted on this forum.

Received my replacement power supply today and everything works great. I would have fixed it myself, but I would rather see HP jump through a couple of hoops on my behalf to fix a problem with defective equipment, especially since it is still under warranty.
