In the las few weeks i started to notice that every time that my Hp ZV5000 goes to stand by and it tries to come out of stand by I get a blue screen. It happen in both windows XP and Vista RC1. I tried some steps Hp support gave me but no luck. Every thing else works fine but i am worry since i don't know what is the cause of the problem and if it can get worst.

    The blue screen say

A process or thread crucial to the system operation has unexpectedly exited or beem terminate

    and the Technical Info

    Stop:0x000000F4(0X00000003, 0X821CB768, 0X821CB8DC, 0X805C7478)

does any one know about this problem or have any suggestion that can help me to solve the problem?

    Thanks,

That happened to me every once in a while. I never did figure out why. I'd done a clean install of WinXP Home too when I first got the machine, though something could have been damaged after that. It got to the point where I just didn't use standby. Vista RC1's problems aren't conclusive since Microsoft fixed a lot of bugs between that and Vista final. I'd try testing Vista final before redoing an otherwise working WinXP install.

Flashing in the latest BIOS might help, but some zv5000 machines have bad flash chips that fail when you attempt that. If you've successfully flashed a BIOS update before you're OK. Disable power management, shut down other programs, and remove all USB devices (yes, really) before flashing a BIOS update.

Well if i can't get that fix is fine, any ways i almost don't use standby. About the BIOS i have the latest one, who know that could be the problem since I update over the summer and i never used stand by.
