hey everyone, i finally decided on a laptop...The HP ZV5000t
here are the specs:

Intel Pentium 4 2.80 GHz
512MB DDR SDRAM 1x512MB
60 GB 4200 RPM Hard Drive
DVD/CD-RW Combo Drive
54g(TM) Integrated Broadcom 802.11b/g Wireless LAN
15.4" WXGA
ATI Mobility Radeon(TM) 9000 IGP

$1,193.62 after rebate and student discount

Anyways I really really hope I made the right decision ...Any one have any thoughts? the only realy question i have is how long is the battery (8 cell) going to last (roughly) and if i get the 12 cell - how long for it? ((running minimal programs/word etc...))

I hope you don't plan to play any games that configuration. Good CPU but ATI Radeon 9000IGP is only good for Internet surfing, DVD, and MS Office. Get the 12 cell battery as I am getting only 2 hours with my 8 cells. Spend more now and you will be happier longer.

actually for any RTS game and even some FPS games like ut2004 he can get by just fine.
