Sorry if this is the wrong forum! But I'm having a tough time finding
    cases that would actually fit a zx5000 in the padding! 11.59" (L) (w/hinge) x 14.25" (W) x 1.8" (H. Even a large enough shock proof sleeve would be a Godsend.

Please be kind enough to let me know where and for how much you purchased your zx5000 case. Exact links would be highly appreciated.

    Thanks.

If you post under the Accessories Forum, you may get a few more responses.

But regarding a case, in the Accessories Forum, I believe it was Big Calhoun who reviewed the Jasport backpack notebook case. You may want to check it out. I have a Targus Notepac Plus that held my NX7000 pretty well. It was a pretty good fit that also included the AC & power cord beside my notebook. This will be difficult for your ZX5000 because the AC adapter is 4 times larger than the one for the NX7000. I'm sure Targus or Samsonite makes a bag that will fit your notebook.

    openglgamer,
I carry my hp zx5078cl in a Samsonite L45 Notebook Plus Case. I found it at BestBuy for $49.99. Try the link below:

    Thanks.

Sorry I forgot to mention it is the widescreen 15.4" zx5000.
I surely hope one of the above has the space for it and the power brick!!

Moderators, Please move this thread to the accessories forum if it's no too much of a pain. Thanks again.

    openglgamer--

I carry my zx5000 in a Targus Elite Backpack

    http://www.targus.com/us/product_details.asp?sku=TR601

The specifications for the backpack state that it fits notebooks up to 15", but I find it holds my zx5000 very snugly. The zx5000 does stick out over the notebook sleeve a little bit, and I can't use the velcro strap to strap it in, but it fits so snugly that it won't be going anywhere.

I'm very happy with the backpack...both in the quality of it's build, and the design of it.

    Good luck-
    dordale [ :)]

    openglgamer,
My zx5078cl also has the 15.4" display and fits just fine in my Samsonite L45 Notebook Plus Case. At first I thought it was a little too snug. Within a week, I realized it was just perfect - the case relaxed a little. I do not use my case every day, but my sister uses the same notebook and case everyday and loves it.
