Hello! New member here. I'm planning to buy a Zbook Studio G8 with the IPS display - 3840 x 2160, 120 Hz, 600 nits.

Where I live there are no shops where I can see this laptop before I pay for it (I've confirmed this with HP salespeople). I would like to ask those of you who have this display what your experiences are. Specifically: is the display matte or glossy? Do you have any problems with reflections in the display? I work as a photographer; if I see a mirror image of my face in every photo I try to edit I will not be happy.

Knowing how much HP loves glossy displays it wouldn't surprise me if it has one. The good thing if you like the hardware specs is you can change out the display for matte yourself or have someone do it. I swapped from FHD to UHD for $150 and 30 mins of time. Downside is it might effect your warranty but, you get what you want/need.
