When im gaming my comp will just sometimes freeze or crash to desktop for no Reason, Doom 3 is 1 of them, i dont know whats causing it. i had the omega drivers installed but when i tryed to update them they screwed up my system and i had to do a system restore are there any other drivers i can use? and the 2 problems just seem to alternate they usually occur at the same point, and when i reboot they dont happen in the same place and when i get to another point it will occur again alternating each time. Any Ideas?

ATI supposedly released a 4.9Beta version of their Catalyst drivers specifically for Doom 3, but I heard that they too were flaky. I think it's just an issue with Doom 3 & ATI. Doom 3 will probably work better for people with an NVidia GPU rather than an ATI, since it was designed with NVidia in mind. Supposedly a user posted that the Omega drivers work. You just have to un-install the old drivers and ATI Control Panel before install the Omega drivers.

Yeah. Have you uninstalled your previous drivers before installing omega? I have done it the way it should be done and do not have any problems, although I got Emachines rather than HP. One more thing, if you overclocked your video card too much it will freeze sometimes, so try to bring it back to what it was in the very beginning, it should be stable with manufacturer's settings.
