Beautiful but one note: working with the laptop placed on this kind of drapery material may cause problems. It probably wonn't block the vents but it will surely draw more dust into the laptop.

 

yeah i know i was thinkin the same thing.

It's not a "beast", that's for sure...

I wouldn't quite call that a "Beast" with a AMD X2 Processor...

It might be closer to a "Beast" if you had gone with an Intel Core 2 Duo.

 

i call it the beast compaired to my old machine thats why i call it the beast and implying that it doesnt have a good processor is bs.

the core 2 doesnt blow the amd turion out of the water, all do respect but seriously theres not much difference except for battery life.

 

That may be true, and the machine is indeed "ok", but it's no beast... The cpu isn't to a lesser degree than an Intel cpu'd machine, and the GPU for sure isn't as it places towards the bottom gpu wise on what would be termed "a beast".

Core Duo 2 is a better cpu, if you have the money... Your machines cpu is decent for the money. If it's faster than your last machine and you're happy with it, that's the most important thing.


PS: My current machine is AMD powered.. so I'm no fan-boy... Only reason I went with it was price. Had a Core Duo machine and it was a heck of allot faster...

 

well my friend has a core duo machine and i havent seen any difference.

and besides the point if i want to call it the beast i can and will.

 

You can call it whatever you want. The facts are the machine you reference is not "a beast".

On your choice of words... I hope that for your sake the words you choose do not come back to bite you so to speak...

If there is a "problem" with your unit, you may find yourself calling the unit, "The Beast" in a reference to it being the beast I wish I had never bought.

I refer you to this thread... Lots of beasts in this thread, and what you may be in store for... "if" there is a problem.

Just saw all the responses to the "Beast" Comment.

Darth, nobody's insulting your notebook (or your manhood). Just so you know, I have a dv2000t with Core 2 Duo, and I don't consider my laptop a "Beast." There are much more powerful laptops out there, but all that matters is YOUR computer fits YOUR needs, right?

Never thought the notebookreview forum would get so personal.

hahahahaha. Funny how many people in here take a "Beast" comment so seriously. Let the man call his laptop a "Beast". He wasn't asking for people's opinions if in fact his laptop was a Beast or not.
