Hi everybody ,
I wanted to buy DV6880ee :
CPU : T9300 2.5GHz 6M
RAM : 4G
VGA : 256 up to 1575M 8400GS
monitor : 15.4
DVD rom : blue-ray
but vista gives upper than 5.1 to all parts except of VGA , vista gave 3.3
but vista gave 4.7 to the VGA of SONY VAIO FE 48G/h that is 128M up to 380M.
1)what is the reason?
2)how could I solve it ?
3)Is it any other notebook wich has the same properties but stronger VGA?

First of all, Vista's scores are crap, so don't completely rely on them to tell you how good your computer is. I would go and look at 3dmark for real benchmarking of hardware.
Second, what do you plan on using the computer for? This will help us to determine what hardware and computer is best for you. -
Hi & thanks for your attention ,
At the first I need a notebook that could excute the engineering task as fast as possible but I need a good VGA because I want to enjoy from vista at complete graphic .
Is it any other laptop which has the same properties as this one but a stronger VGA?
thanks -
You'll be able to enjoy Vista with full graphics with that laptop. The only reason you would need a stronger video card is if you planned on playing videos games. If you do plan on playing video games, please list a few and I'll be able to tell you if it can handle them and at what graphics level and resolution.
Also, what version of Vista are you getting, and are you getting 32 bit or 64 bit? -
The original laptop win is vista home but i want to upgrade it to ultimate.
because my desktop pc is too old i want to meet eighter high speed processing and graphic quality . i mean i had not played a lot of game because my pc was weak.
anyway , could u find me a better laptop ? -
I forgot to say : vista ultimate 32bit

So how much exactly are you looking to spend on a laptop? Also, what screen size, and are you looking for a true desktop replacement laptop? I need to know how portable you want it to be and how much you want to move it around as well.
-
a 15.4 inch monitor is nice , i'm studing MS and i need to move it a lot but i can tolerate up to 3.2kg unpacked one and i could pay around 1200 eur

First thing I'll say is, if you're looking for style in a laptop HP has the best out there. Next, if you are looking for better graphic performance for around the same price, you can go with a Dell. For what you're looking for though, the HP line will do the job. The only thing Dell really has over HP is they offer better performance graphics cards in their personal laptops. If you don't mind sacrificing the style for better performance, go check out HP's business laptops, because they offer better video cards in their business line than they do in their personal line.
Also, just so you know, you'll only be able to use 3.2 GB of RAM with a 32bit Windows OS. The only way you'll be able to use all 4GB of RAM is if you go with a 64 bit version of Windows.
For the price you're able to spend you'll be able to get a nice laptop that will do everything you need it to. I don't know exactly where in the world you are located, but you can also check out customizing your own laptop at www.hp.com and www.dell.com. It is a little more expensive to customize your own, but it allows you to get everything you want. The best deals are in laptops like the one you specified, which are prebuilt. -
could u compare HP DV6880ee by DELL XPS 1530 T9300 in detail ?
At the end which one reach the higher mark?
Please send me 1530 T9300 specification -
I mean dell 1530 T9300 2.5G 6M VGA(256M GDDR3 8600GS) vs HP 6880ee
Thanks -
Dell XPS M1530 offers a 8600m GT video card which is 2x better than HP's 8400m GS
If your going to game, i suggest getting the DeLL.
The HP is an entertainment laptop, it wasnt really designed for heavy gaming applications -
I have just purchased a dv6880ee and have installed Vista Ultimate 64bit. Its pretty good as a whole on the performance front with some minor glitches in graphics. Not a professional gaming console but a real good one. Its just been a couple of days since i had got this so I may not have a REAL opinion about it. But first hand it really seems good.
I am primarily using it for Catia, IBM product for CAD Design.
I do have a big craze for certain games as well. I do play F1 (with all the update mods you get on the net), FIFA 2008, Comandos Strike force and Tiger Woods 2008.
Can u get me recomended settings for these games as well as my Catia S/w.
Thnx in advance. -
