    i want to ask about pavilion hp pavilion dv5242
    Whats your opinions about this laptop?any knowing issue about it?
    2-what is brightview?
    3-is its VGA card shared or dedicated
    4-what about windows vista is this machine capable to run all its features

    1. The HP dv5000 & dv8000 series are known to have issues with the keyboard. Search the forum for the thread detailing the issue.

    2. Brightview is just HP marketing speak for glossy screens. The screen will be brighter than regular matte screens but reflects light very easily.

    3. Dedicated (128MB dedicated + 128MB shared)

    4. It is definately capable of running Vista, given you find the correct drivers.
