    hey, i am just about to buy myself the v4000t :hp: and my sis is in college, how much is the student discount and is it worth it? Also is upgrading the battery now worth it since i will eventually get a new one, i mean i think i need the extended life.... Thanks,

    I think I saved $50 on my v5000z (which should be coming tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!). The v4000t starts at $777.06 for me with the APP. I would definately get the higher cap battery now. For me, it was a $40 option, but buying a new one was $200.

    student n employee is 6% i believe and app is 10% how do u get app? lol can you fake the app? cause i know w/ employee anyone can just sign up with a code. Anyways I took the 6cell battery instead of the 12 cell for 40 bucks more for a few reasons. I still think about which is worth more. I wanted a 6 cell battery because i wanted it to look normal. A 12 cell would make the notebook look weird, extended base on half hte notebook. 6 Cell I couldn't purchase anywhere except HP.com so it would be like 100 something dollars. 12 Cell I could purcahse on amazon.com for $115. I'm scoping out bestbuy for a clearance sale right now. I heard there was one in June 05. So I'm hoping for another one before college starts for me. 6 cell lasts me bout 2 hrs it seems with all my programs running. 55 mins 59% battery left. I checking time thro my wireless connectoin being connected. I used like probably 5% logging off and on cause my icons disappeared.
