just wondering.. does hp accidentaly drop/spill cover acid spill? just wondering cuz im going to use it in a lab full of strong acid that might burn the laptop.

Seriously, a spell checker/dictionary will tell you the difference between 'drop' and 'spill'.
Using consumer electronics in a known-hazardous environment? I don't know of any warranty or service plan that will cover that. -
The best way to really answer your question is for you to actually read your warranty and see what it says. It should specifically say what it covers and what is excluded. It won't list your exact example of course, but it may be surprisingly close. In addition to reading your own warranty, if you have an Extended Service Plan with Accidental Damage Protection: read what HP has to say about what's covered and what's excluded, at: www.hp.com/go/damageprotection and see what it says. I actually think you might be covered.
