    someone suggested that we can buy this ram:

    is this the right type of ram? just want to double check before i place my order. i'm thinking of getting 256m, then buy the ram above and just stick it in the notebook. will it work that i mix (the one that comes with the notebook) and match (with the one listed above)? thanks.

    Yes, that's right. But I believe your current 256 is rated as PC3200. If you were to buy a stick of PC4200, it would only run at the lower speed. I was planning on upgrading my ram and I wouldn't need the 256 I currently have. I could consider selling it to you. [ :)]
