    Hi,
I am looking for a notebook which weighs less than 7 lbs while being still powerfull for low price ;-). I need it for work = a lot of different programs opened, a lot of windows opened, a lot of tabs in the internet browser opened. I want to have dual boot system (winxp and linux debian).

I found HP notebook from dv4000 series. On a HP webpage I customized the following combination:

Operating System Microsoft(R) Windows(R) XP Professional
    Processor Intel(R) Pentium(R) M Processor 770 (2.13 GHz)
    Display 15.4" WXGA Widescreen (1280x800)
Graphics Card Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator 900
    Memory 1.0GB DDR SDRAM (2x512MB)
Hard Drive 80 GB 5400 RPM Hard Drive
    Primary CD/DVD Drive DVD+/-RW/R & CD-RW Combo w/Double Layer Support
    Networking Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2200BG & Bluetooth(TM)
Primary Battery 12 Cell Lithium Ion Battery

Alltogether such a notebook seems to be quite powerful. It is going to weigh more or less 6.5 lbs. In spite of good parameters it is still quite cheap. Being very suspicious I am looking for any suggestions from someone who purchased notebook from hp dv4000 series with similar parameters. I found already that Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2200BG may not work under Linux.

$1580. Much cheaper than other similar configurations I found in Acer or Toshiba.
