so ive installed xp with all the drivers that i got on here, now i think i need some tweaks because i thought things would have been abit faster now with 2gb rams and the dual amd procs, but they seem about the same as vista.

the only thing i need to get to get the exclamation icon off in device settings is the base system device and other devices, but everything else is workn.surely just them two things cant make the system run slower.

i mean does xp recognize dual core laptops or is it just using one core 1.7 then?

i havnt installed much and only have 26 processes going.

i might have been better of with vista lol.

D/L the NVIDIA nForce 430/410 chipset drivers. I used to have a dv6000 with a TL-50 and a GeForce 6150 and the desktop chipset drivers worked fine for me for XP. Also, if you haven't gotten the sound to work then download the Microsoft UAA patch first and then install the Conexant drivers. If you have any more questions, PM me and I may be able to help you. Good luck.

okay,i found something at ms site about when using dual cores so i downloaded etc, hopefully that will help. where will i find the nforce drivers cause there not under xp on the hp site.

and i was also wondering if anyone had problems with there wireless speed. i did test last nite before bed and doing them now and i only seem to get around and not over 2.30mb or 2.5mb. didnt think id loose connection since the laptop is only 5ft away from router, maybe i have to update the wireless drivers?

i also tried to install this amd thing for dual cores from the sticky uptop but then the laptop crashed 3 times with blue screen so i had to go to a restore point and all is well now, wont do that again lol.
