so here is the deal... when dv5t appeared i was all over it.. but then the gateway 7811fx came and omg i was so in loved with that one... but as the fx came the problems came too... too many ppl replacing them 2 or 3 times...

the bottom line is that i dont live in us, so i cant take the chance to have a unit and return it everytime it fails..

    so the question is...

is there anything wrong with the dv5t i should worry about? the fx is a lots of worry bcause of: constant bsod, constant lockups, keys melting, ghosting in screen etc etc... i just cant deal with all this bcause of my condition...

    Thanks in advice! :)

depends on what you are getting in the lappy....
the hp does experience some heating problems that bothers some and others ( I ) don't care about... but these issues are really only prevalent on systems with the 9600m gt and only when under load ie gaming...

if you get the integrated cards...people have been expressing no problems...and they seem to absolutely love it...
i myself have the 9600....it allows me to game a little ( a lot actually ) and gets warm but i take care of it with cooling and raising the back and watching temps...when surfing and such...i have absolutely no problems...

the hp dv5t is a great computer and a lot of people love it...

every forum will have people listing the problems...realize that this is what forums are for... very few people praise their computers or even post once they get their laptop....

Yes my dv5t blew up when i was gaming on my bed, which caused my sheets to start burning, then my bed, then my desk, and eventually it creeped to the whole house and caused my house to burn down. My body was nowhere to be found.
