thinking of buying it since mine just expired. Got a quote from hp representative, $99 for a year, doesn't sound too badly. I am just wondering if its refundable in case I have a second thought.

actually if it is $99 for one year im willing to pay for it cause it is 161 for a 1 year extension to existing 1 year standard warranty. is this $99 for out of warranty or existing? my warranty just expire last week.

I don't know. The lady just told me it's $99 for one year. She sounded very impatient...pushing for a sale I guess.

    I have DV2000 btw.

So nobody has any idea what the refund policy is on extended warranty?

The $99 extended warranty for an already expired warranty is for software only. It's a pointless warranty.

Normaly what she sold you cover 1yr Phone Support. It does not cover any type of hardware replacement they will just diagnose any software or hardware problems. Basically if its software releated they will try and help your fix the problem and if the problem turns out to be hardware then they can offer to repair it for a price.
