Maybe they meant a built in wireless card so you can use hotspots? You could buy a wireless router.

How did you set it up to act as a hotspot? Did you choose to share its Internet connection? Did you try using any laptops/desktops to connect to it, or just your PSP?

why would you want outside computers to connect to yours. Why not just leave the router open and let them connect to that

Just got it working using the HDX9000 dragon and vista ultimate. Took abou 5 minutes including watching the video. Maybe you can't do it with a PSP??
This is kind of scarry. I would only do this as emergency. Don't want anyone looking at my files.

I wouldn't be surprised if you could only do it with a computer.

I never let my laptop (or any of my devices) directly connect to the internet, as it is way to easy to get hacked, and its easy and cheap to setup a router to the the job better.

If you need a very small and portable router, cradlepoint http://www.cradlepoint.com/ makes a router that is smaller than a deck of cards that can work with both wired connections and USB mobile broadband devices (the 350), and they have a very small battery powered router (PSH350) (works with mobile broadband devices and 3G phones). I believe it can also hook up wirelessly to another (open) wireless network, giving you a private network bubble for all your devices.

Also, Linksys makes a travel router that can hook up to a wired or open wireless network, giving you a private network bubble for all your devices.

I have all three, and love them.

    Just my 2 cents...
