I'm using windows 7 64-bit on the dv6-7000 with A10-4600m CPU that has two USB 3.0 ports. None of my devices work when they are connected to these ports. Windows always tells me that it fails to install drivers for these ports.

Are they also not working for you guys? Where do we download drivers for USB 3.0 ports?

At hp.com click on Support & Drivers and enter your model number.

It uses AMD A10-4600m, it's not an intel chipset.

Well I'm using the latest Catalyst driver from AMD's website, not HP's page. I guess that's causing the problem?

Do I install the AMD catalyst driver or the AMD mobility Notebook driver?

Also, whenever I try to install AMD driver after installing HP drivers, I get a black screen and I have to manually shut down the notebook.

What are the exact steps you took to install the drivers?

    install hp drivers first

    stop.

    does usb 3.0 work?

make sure everything works before you go onto installing the latest amd cat drivers.

There is a amd chipset driver, just google it. Ok I did it just because

    AMD Chipset Drivers

catalyst/mobility/display driver all same thing but they don't have the usb driver.... and HP driver shouldn't be needed.
