i have a DV6345us and recently installed the new service pack for vista. i've been hearing a popping sound in my speakers ever since. i searched around this forum and it recommended to download the new Audio driver, so that's what i did. but evertime i tried to install it, the small installation window would just show up (after i follow the instructions), looks like it's installing but it never seems to finish. i left my computer on all night and when i woke up it still wasn't finished. i'm doing it again right now but it's been over an hour. now i don't have any sounds :( i'm installing sp39295.exe which was released 2008-05-20 version 4.33.1.60 A.

    please help. Thanks in advance.

Can you manually up date the driver by pointing the device manager to the location with the INF's?

i tried that but it wouldn't work. i even tried to roll back the driver software but it just stopped working and said "not responding."

i shut down my computer, it didn't shut down properly and it started to diagnose itself. now it's my audio is working again, and of course the popping sound is back :( it doesn't give me the option of rolling back my driver anymore, and i'm too **** paranoid to update the software again. do you guys have the same problem after updating the driver?
