    I have HP Pavilion DV5-1116em

I am currently using Bios (F.21 A) which has some incompatibilities with windows 7.

the question is, should i expect Bios upgrade anytime soon?

No since the DV5 has reached its end of life.

    What problems are you having?

I tried out that sequence on mine. I couldn't replicate the error you have. I'm also using the same BIOS.

Have you been adjusting the brightness using the Win+X combo to bring up the mobility center console?

Same as yours, 9200M GS. Hit the Windows key to the left of the space bar - while holding it down, hit X. That'll bring it up.

197.45 from Microsoft Windows update site. It has the best colors, vibrancy and speed of all the drivers. Higher drivers tend to have issues.

    Windows Vista and Windows 7 x64 (64-bit) - http://download.windowsupdate.com/m..._0a7d4357f5036aa43e5b64eed420f8387a79bd62.cab

To install, use winrar to extract all files and keep the NV_WHQL.inf file. Delete the nv_disp.inf & nv_disp.cat file

I also have all the latest OS updates from Microsoft (the ones that come out on Tuesdays). Running Win 7 x64 also.

It is IMO. Newer drivers (200 and up) are really best for newer GPUS. Like the 4xx series.

Has it solved your issue? Did you uninstall the other before installing the 197.45?
