    I have purchased the HP g60-531ca and now i have found that windows 7 is not able to run my sign making software I need to downgrade to Windows XP can someone please help

    you should investigate the dual-boot thing that Win 7 haves..it will allow you to run both OS's

    As Ramzii says, if you have windows professional, you can run XP in virtual mode for free (provided that you have a copy of winXP.)

    Or you can run a virtualized version of Windows XP

    Thank You for the reply. My laptop did not pass the compatible test for the virtual XP. I bought the HP g60-531ca for my hobby sign making pastime so I'm looking for the drivers to downgrade to XP. I hope the community will help me!

    I have virtualbox and it is amazing!!! I'm running Windows XP and Windows 98SE on Windows 7 x64 =D
    and the key thing is that it is FREEEEEEE!

    yeah you have a Pentium T4300 in there, it does not have virutalization enabled.
    its not really recommended to upgrade the CPU (you would have to disassemble the unit and void your warranty). I wish I had a good solution for you but you would really either have to try something else besides W7 XP mode, or else get a different system. Intel Purposely disabled virtualization on a lot of their main line CPUs (Pentiums, even Core 2 Duos like the P7550) where as AMD has it on 95% of their CPUs except for some of the Semprons and lower end Athlons.
