    best deals on 8710w w/ 3600m?

    Anyone know where to pick up a HP 8710w w/ a FX3600M for "cheap"? Well, let's say cheaper than on HP's website.. where a decent configuration w/o blue-ray will run about $3500!

    I am pretty certain that the 8710w with FX 3600M is available only from HP. All other retailers stock 8710w's with the FX 1600M. Why do you need the FX 3600M? It is equivalent to the 8800M GTS, and you could get Sager/Clevo desktop replacement notebook for under $3000.

    If you are going to spend that much on their Business laptop line, you might as well get a HDX or go with the Sager line as jetstar said. For that amount you can get a Sager that will simply destroy the 8710w in specs.

    Well, I'm sure you can buy the part from HP. Expect to pay premium $$$$$$. Then also installing it yourself can void warranty. Then also you need a more powerful AC-adaptor. I'm not even sure if the heatsink is the same. Call HP spare parts hear what they say and of course write here what they did say.
