    I installed this update on my vista dv2000t, which is described as resolving a metering issue with windows media format 11. Well, today I played a dvd in windows media player, but couldn't use the slider bar to navigate! Whenever I tried to do so the movie restarted.

    I uninstalled update kb929399, and the problem has been resolved. So, I just wanted to give a heads up on this. I am not sure if it's an hp thing or a microsoft thing, but if you are having problems with WMP uninstall this update and all should be well.
