    bios not working normalyy

    I was playing a game on my laptop then the battery power is at 0% so it powers off while i am trying to plug the power cord in.I don't care to turn the laptop on till later and then the compaq logo pops up with a beeb like usual then it prompts me to type in the power on password so i try,but i press any key and it types in 2 spaces and if i press enter it fills up the spaces and just beebs 2 times.The Operating System is windows vista home premium. I'm comfuesd? help? :(
