Hi I have a compaq v6420us and it runs a little hot so I remember something about a bios update. Turns out I have F.41 on the comp and there are two possible upgrades an F.3d and an F.42. The confusing thing is I have Athlon processors but while the F.3d is supposedly for athlons and seems to be older than what I currently have. Why are these two bios versions even out together if I was able to upgrade to F.41?

you should probably go to f.42 since in f.42's version history it lists f.41, but you might be best off confirming with an hp person over chat
