i'm soon to purchase a laptop and currently have one set up with theT9400 (2.53 GHz) processor and a blu-ray drive and am at my spending limit. i can't decide if the blu-ray is worth it or if i should drop it and just upgrade the processor to the T9600 (2.80GHz) and still keep it about the same price. would the upgrade make that much of a difference or would i benefit more from the blu-ray?

I would stick with the 2.5 and blu-ray personally... I don't think you would notice much of a difference if any unless you do heavy video work or game playing.

I would personally stick with the P9400 and not get the Blu-Ray. How much is HP asking for the Blu-Ray drive? I would rather buy a stand alone Blu-Ray drive and hook it up to your tv.*

*That is if you have an HDTV. If not, and you really really want it, then go for it.

I would say get neither since the 2.8 asks for too much coin for performance you might not see/need. And the Bluray I think is a tad too overpriced for only a Bluray reader. You may find it far cheaper to buy a desktop bluray writer and place it in an external caddy.
