so i've had my r4000 for about a week and so far I love it. I've used Avid HD Pro on it and so far it works like a charm. I've had no drop frames when digitizing and contrary to others predictions it works. :)

So here are 2 things I'm wondering about:

    1. Bluetooth - Is it possible to use bluetooth to connect wirelessly to the internet using a bluetooth cellphone? I saw that T-mobile had a bluetooth motorolla phone that supposedly allows you to do this.

Also I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this, how fast is the connection. BTW.. my dad has the zv6005 and I it has the speedbooster as opposed to the bluetooth and I did a side by side speed test. The speedbooster is in fact faster. The speed test on the bluetooth was 1.9 Megabits per second and the speedbooster was 3.9 Megabits per second.

    2. If you have the Lightscribe single layer burner, is it possible to flash the drive to make it dual layer? I read how some people have done that with other single layer drives. Or do you think that HP will come out with upgradeable firmware.

This will determine whether I would return it for another.

Search the T-Mobile forum over at http://www.howardforums.com for how to use your Bluetooth phone to connect to the Internet. I know it can be done with Cingular phones, I'd imagine T-Mobile Bluetooth phones can too. It's intended for use when you just can't get landline Internet access.

I have been using my Motorola V710 bluetooth cellphone from Verizon to make a dial up connection with my ZV6000, works flawlessly, the download is faster than your 56k modem but the upload is slower.

T-mobile has the cheapest unlimited data package so that would probably be the best way to go.

Verizon does it free it should only cost you, you air time minutes, but I havent got all the billing details worked out.
