    some how my comp started to boot up really slowly when it gets to the welcome screen. any idea why? this started happening after i changed the paging file.
    when it gets to the booting screen it just wait there for like 2 mins then the programs start coming up again

    If you have less than 1.5gb of RAM then you should not disable the paging file. Even ifyou have 1.5gb and lot's of bloatware, you'll need it again.

    Go to run, msconfig, look at the starup sheet. There shouldn't be many items there.
