    broke screen would hp repair it?

    so i just broke my screen and the screen doesnt work anymore(all the pixels are messed up) under the basic warrenty which is 1 year would it cover for my screen replacement? its a dv3t hp laptop

    Note: the basic warrenty is the manufactory warrenty so it diidnt cost me a dime when i bought the hp

    also it hasnt been a year yet

    Short Answer: No.

    Long Answer: They don't count broken screens under the standard warranty, because there's no real way a LCD would break itself unless there was some defect to the screens, so you're out of luck there.

    if the basic warrenty didnt expire can i still upgrade it to the 1year warrenty where it covers drops? since the basic warrenty didnt expire yet

    If there is one, you probably can; but I wouldn't call it in as soon as you got it, would seem kind of suspicious from there end.

    You could always call and explain, and see what they say.
