    hi guys im a new member here, i want to know if i can replace the graphics card of my hp dv4000 laptop, the one that it has is the Intel GMA 915 card, i want to replace it with a newer card that wud run windows vista aero, plz help me, thnx

    You will have to replace the whole motherboard in order to replace the integrated graphics. The dv4000 was offered with ATi X700 and thats the only GPU/motherboard that you can upgrade to.

    IMO, not worth the trouble.

    Ditto what miner said above... not worth it unless you can pick up a motherboard "cheap".

    PS: About the only cost effective model that will take an upgraded gpu is the Dell 1705 series.... swapping in the gpu from the Dell 1710 XPS "gaming" notebook. The reason being is the same motherboard is used on both models.
