3 months back i purchased a hp pavilion dv1000 notebook.. due to some technical problems i sent my notebook to hp store.. i agree it was an accidental mistake, and i was prepared to pay the service charge.. when i sent my notebook they didnt specify how to pay the service charge and later i paid the service charge by calling the customer care, it was $698.. i clearly specified that speakers and keyboard arent working.. but when my notebook was repaired and was sent back to me, i noticed that the speakers and keyboard arent repaired.. in the customer receipt they specified that the keyboard has been replaced.. now when i asked the customer service , he said me to send my notebook back.. as they assured me that my notebook will be repaired and will be sent back to me as soon as possible..

i sent my notebook to the hp store 5 days back.. but till now i didn't recieve any information regarding the status of my notebook.. so i had a chat with the customer service to know my status.. i was surprised that my notebook has not been repaired yet..and regarding the chat the person i was chatting with, has closed the chatting session abruptly.. the person with whom i had the chat has assured me that my request will be sent to the logistic department, i'll get the status report of my notebook to my email id and i'll get a call from the supervisor within 24 hours from the chat... but till now i didnt get the information regarding any of the above mentioned... my work has been severely hampered and the basic problems werent solved but the bill is $698.. can i file a case on hp? if so how can i file a case on hp?

I would try to get someone on the phone and actually talk to them. If you can, try to get a supervisor/manager. If you explain your situation, they should be able to help you quickly and possibly give you something extra for your troubles. It's easy to ignore emails and close chat sessions, but it's harder to BS your way out of a problem when you're actually speaking to someone. I know this from working as tech support for a number of years. It's the phone calls that cause the most work to be done...

Yea, get someone higher up on the company and ask for their name and all that stuff to get them scared and more willing to help. lol. Worth a try.

Yes file a case on them, hit them hard because they gave me the same treatment as well, but mine wasn't that serious. Regardless both HP support and the quality sucks, so give them what they deserve. Good luck man.

first call them and make this threat, you might also want to record the call, and then see what they do.
