    if i make a restore disc of my vista on v6000t as the manual says, can i then install a new hard drive amd restore it all to be just like the day it started?

    i.e.
    will restore disk create partitions and all?

    Yes, the restore discs will put your system back to factory state. It is capable of restoring the restore partition and the Quickplay partition(if equipped) as well.
