I assume the 850M is attached to your mobo.
Maybe you can replace the mobo? -
anyways my gpu and cpu overclocked can run assasins creed unity 1360x760 ultra settings low shadows and aa off i think my medium high rig is enough for next gen games right? -
You are asking questions to which there is no satisfactory answer : D
I am sure that this is the best your laptop can do. At the end of the day it is a laptop and not a desktop!
What are next gen games? Consoles are more or less mobile GPUs at this point. PC games that are coming out in the future like Star Citizen will put anything to shame.
I wouldn't stress the laptop too much as to not use up the heatpipe/fan etc.
Normally the GPU is part of the mobo. Some Dells used to and maybe still have MXM sockets which allow you to swap out the GPU. Certain HP Probooks also use this feature.
You should check your service manual to see if your device supports this or not just to be sure.
But your laptop should be sufficient for the foreseeable future.
You can also look into external GPUs!
can i upgrade my laptop gpu? hp envy Q2002la
