7400 is really not that bad of a card. My friend has one can run F.E.A.R. almost full with a worse processor than yours.

It won't look as nice as the 360 but it won't look bad.

Wait, are you asking about what the GeForce 7200 can handle or the GeForce 7400?

I think he's asking 7200, but saying he realizes the 7400 can run it at medium.

I am sure that the ATi X1400 can, but whether the 7200 can is doubtful. After all, it's just marginally better than an integrated card. And Oblivion's pathetic, even on settings turned all the way down, on a GMA 950.

Yeah, I figured that, but Zmanattack's response threw me off, since he was responding about what the GeForce 7400 can do.

It's a good question about the 7200; I suspect it might be able to start it up, but you might have to run it in that super low quality mode - when I had my previous laptop with a Mobility Radeon 9700, the only way it could play Oblivion was in that mode, and it was still choppy. Not sure how the 7200 compared to the Mobility Radeon 9700 though.

    Sorry guys :p

My desktop has a 9600xt and oblivion runs ok on lower settings at 1024x768

I'm pretty sure even a 7200 is superior to that, right?

btw when he said 7200 i thought he meant the Intel 7200 core 2 duo :p

The Nvidia Geforce Go 7200 runs Oblivion perfectly well on medium settings and gets a pretty good frame rate.
