    can't create recovery disc, help!

    i recently bought a compaq presario v6254ea preloaded with vista and i'm trying to create a recovery disc using hp's recovery manager. each time i burn a copy, the program tries to verify the disc and then tells me there's a write error and then tells me to start again, i've already used up 5 dvd's trying to burn it, can someone please help! :(

    The first thing I would do is try a different brand of media.

    wow, i went out and bought a tdk dvd+r and it worked like a charm, lesson learnt - never use unreputable media

    i was using imation dvd's which seem fine when i burn data to it using nero but i guess the recovery manager is being fussy?
